Other, Photography, School

First of all I want to say that I haven’t got too much time to blog lately, mainly because I’m so busy with school. We’re having four (big) projects running at the moment, all to be handed in around the same time: two by the end of december and two early january. So far I’ve used the only ‘free’ moments I had to work on a new portfolio, which I also want to have up and running somewhere in december. Gonna be awesome.

Anyways, here are some pictures of a few weeks back, taken at the “Rebootweek” (schooltrip/project week) with school in Kasterlee.

As I may have said in one of my previous posts, I’m quite busy with school right now. We have lots of awesome courses, already had to hand in some projects and still have a lot of other assignments to do. Besides that, I’m also working hard to find an internship. But I really wanted to do a quick update here and show you some stuff.

San Francisco Edited

A few weeks ago I went on a school trip to San Francisco. I took way too much pictures (+32GB)! I made a ‘small’ selection to put on flickr, but I don’t think I will upload them here. Just because it’s way too much gigabytes and I’m bad at choosing. But I really want to share the link to the set on flickr.

Also, I’ve edited some ‘bad’ pictures and tried to make them more interesting. They maybe are ‘over-photoshopped’, but at least they’re not boring anymore. Here they are! And I also made them for sale at my Society6 account. Not that they’re superawesome, I know I can do better, but I think I like them for some reason. Just because they’re something different than what I’m used to make.

Moon Phase App

Moon Phase from Sarah Van Neyghem on Vimeo.

Promo video of my first assignment for Cross Media Design II @ Devine, Howest. My first ‘real’ design for mobile. We had to create an app for people who really believe in the paranormal. I invented an app that can ‘read’ and understand what’s in your agenda, then it uses the moon phases to calculate when you best perform your actions. I tried to give it a vintage touch, as it would be part of an old book or movie.
